Interesting joint activities of FSASH/SPASH/SBASHK in Durres

Unforgettable days were considered 12 and 13 September 2008, when more than 60 representatives from all the three education trade unions of Albania and Kosovo organised those interesting activities, in the framework of collaborating agreement they have signed since some years ago.
The main activity, which was a kind of workshop, considered as sharing experience possibility, provided all the possibilities of introducing organisations, shaping future collaboration and discussing issues of common interests.
The opening speech was held by Mr. Xhafer Dobrushi, Chairman of FSASH, who was followed by Mr. Ali Shabani, Chairman of SBASHK, who greeted the participants and thanked the Albanian teachers and Albanian people, on behalf of Kosovo teachers, for their assistance and support, speaking also on the difficulties they are facing, expressing at the same time the optimism to overcome the situation, under the new conditions of Kosovo independent state and Mr. Bajram Kruja, Chairman of SPASH, who appreciated very much the initiative of all the three partners to organise this activity.
The activity continued with introductions from Aleks Dushi, (SPASH), on chronological developments of SPASH and its collaboration with SBASHK; Xhafer Xhaferi, (SBASHK), on Statute and organising structures of SBASHK, Xhafer Dobrushi, Defrim Spahiu and Zenel Zeneli on special elements of collective bargaining and collective agreement in Albania and in Kosovo.

Questions and discussions on all the topics were made during the workshop, sharing experiences and making concrete proposal for the future activities of all the three organisations.
Special attention was paid to the way of an effective collaboration among all the three organisations in the future, proposing concrete activities to be organised in Albania and in Kosovo, mutual visits, exchange of information and so on.
Being part of Kosovo group, the Vice Minister of Education of Kosovo, Mr. Agim Hyseni, who has been the former Chairman of SBASHK, took also part in free discussions about the collaboration among all the three organisations, as well as about the collaboration between trade unions and respective education ministries, aiming teachers protection and progressive development of education systems in both countries.
A joint dinner, some other entertainment activities, open conversations among the participants, folk dancing and so on, made these days unforgettable for all the teachers, hoping and wishing such activities to be organised more frequently in the future.
